At that point we spray an adhesion promoter which bonds the new paint to the old and the metal gets sealed in the process.  Now we match the color or finish of the wheel and spray and let dry.  Finally we apply a clear coat that is one of the best in the industry in appearance and durability.  If you use a cheap clear coat within a year or two it begins to yellow and lose its shine because of the harsh elements that wheels go thru.
